I’m an anesthesiologist with over thirty years of experience in medicine. I have studied and practiced as a physician in three different countries, worked in small hospitals and large tertiary medical centers including the military. I have trained nurses and doctors, residents and fellows as well.

I was born and raised in Hungary. From a small village I made it to the most prestigious schools of the country. I have graduated from the largest medical school in Budapest first in my class. Out of a former eastern bloc country every major subject’s final exam from medical school had to be retaken in English to be able to work in the United States. I was 24 when I started to learn English, it was the most challenging thing I have ever tried solo.

I have done my postgraduate medical training primarily in Massachusetts. I have studied Internal medicine, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. After passing anesthesiology and pain board exams I have practiced in the UK for over a year and then returned to Baystate Medical Center.

For over twenty years Baystate was my home base working at all the affiliated hospitals and locations where anesthesia or pain service was needed. We have pioneered regional anesthesia at Baystate Health. I was the Chief of Regional Anesthesia for the residency program teaching generations of young doctors the art of ultrasound guided nerve blocks. I was the member of the core team that designed the original BNEOS building and developed the anesthesia practice protocols for the practice focused on regional anesthesia.

I have too many hobbies to list. I had the privilege to fish with world champion anglers all over the world but fishing the Connecticut river at night is still the best time I can have.

It is a privilege to work with a carefully selected group of highly trained professionals at Pulse Anesthesia. People who worked together for decades can provide the best care there is under any circumstances.
